Wildacres Residency Program
The Wildacres Residency Program began in 1999 and over the past thirteen years has hosted approximately 315 writers, artists, and musicians. Participants stay in a comfortable, rustic cabin located 1/4 mile from the conference center and have use of the Wildacres facilities. The participants find the setting conducive to their work and have had a great "Wildacres experience."
The program continues each year, with 25 one-week residencies available from May through October.
Sessions begin each Monday afternoon and conclude after breakfast on Sunday. The program allows individuals the solitude and inspiration needed to begin or continue work on a project in their particular field.
Residents may eat in the dining room, which allows for interaction between the resident, other guests, and the staff, or residents may prepare their own meals in the cabin. There is no charge to the participants. This week is a working retreat, and we ask that no spouses, family or pets accompany the visiting resident.

You may apply using the application form below and submitting it online. Please let us know who you are and what you hope to accomplish while you are at Wildacres Retreat. We have assembled a small committee comprised of writers, scholars, artists, and former participants to select the residents.
The program is open to anyone, with a limit of two residencies in any four year period. The deadline for the 2012 Residency Program has passed and the selection committee is selecting this year's residents. The application for the 2013 residency program will be on this site in about two months.
