Shabbaton in the Mountains
AUGUST 6 - 9
Berachot/Blessings and Thoughtful Jewish Life
The act of making a beracha/blessing opens us to enjoyment and to responsibility: Wildacres Retreat, high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, offers the opportunity for making many berachot/blessings: Come and make the beracha for seeing a mountain and a mountain view. Enjoy the opportunity to make a beracha for clearly sighted planets and ‘shooting stars.’ Make the berachot/blessings for study, for food for seeing and meeting friends and for the celebration of Shabbat.
