Bringing a group to Wildacres Retreat

Wildacres’ conference center facilities are used by more than 80 non-profit groups each year, and most of these groups return each season. Quite a few of our groups have been coming for decades.

We encourage new groups to experience Wildacres.

Groups should be non-profit organizations and come with their own educational program. Wildacres Retreat will provide meeting/recreational facilities, lodging, food service, housekeeping, and most equipment needs.
Retreats traditionally begin with the evening meal on arrival day and then end after breakfast on the last day the programming ends.
Wildacres Retreat can accommodate up to 120 guests. Wildacres books retreats and events on a year-to-year basis with first choices going to returning groups.

North and South Lodge

Guests stay in one of our two lodges which have a total of 56 dual occupancy bedrooms. Each room has a private bathroom and accommodates two guests. There are no televisions or telephones in the rooms.

165-seat Auditorium

Used for group meetings, lectures, and the many musical concerts and recitals that are held during the master music programs each summer. The adjacent reference library is available for small group sessions and for use by individuals.

The Dining HALL

Three family-style meals are served here each day.

The patio

Our patio is located between the lodges, and is an excellent location for group meetings and social functions.

OUR STUDIO

The studio is a great space for groups wishing good acoustics, an open floor plan and/or good lighting. Our dulcimer and drum groups enjoy this space in particular.

lapidary workshop

Wildacres has a fully equipped lapidary workshop that’s currently used by groups that come to the center for jewelry making or lapidary workshops.

Outdoor amphitheater

Finished in 2003, the amphitheater provides a beautiful spot for outdoor meetings, gatherings, and campfires.

indoor meeting SPACES

Wildacres has spaces of different sizes to meet the needs of the groups using the facility.

Pottery Studio

The Wildacres pottery studio was opened in 1991. Our pottery studio is fully equipped and is used by many pottery groups. Ceramics has become a wonderful part of the programs of Wildacres Retreat.  Equipment was purchased with a grant from the Fletcher Foundation and the studio was designed by Norm Schulman, a nationally known potter.  The facility is used by various potters for workshops and by other groups offering pottery classes as part of their programming.
The pottery studio contains fourteen potter’s wheels, slab roller, extruder, drying booth, worktables, two gas kilns, and two electric kilns. It is a great working space for up to 16 to 18 people.
